A New Beginning

One World Academy introduces - A New Beginning - a revolutionary 2 day course that will help people breakdown their conditioning and breakthrough their limitations by creating a shift in perceptions, emotion and consciousness. Let awareness guide you to create A New Beginning.

Comments from Sudha Anantharaman . . .

I attended a New Beginnings course early this spring in Belgium. I had no clue what to expect and if at all I had any expectations, it was one of not really finding anything new. To say I was pleasantly surprised is probably an understatement. And though I was tempted to write on this blog straightaway I held off for a while to see if the initial rush of adrenalin which I felt 'rediscovering' myself (being able to see past my actions and reason with my inner conflicts) would wear off. Well, to be quite honest, it hasn't.

Becoming aware of oneself and one's actions and being able to view oneself almost as an outsider and therefore be in a position to question, review and change one's reactions in a positive way is perhaps what the New Beginnings course teaches you.

It is indeed a 'spring cleaning' of the mind. A kind of detox which gives one a healthier mind. In this day where everything is geared towards external appearances the mind is oft forgotten. New Beginnings brings exactly that into focus and I think I've benefited immensely from the very simple ways of how to tap into the inner reserve that we all seem to possess, to make life happy and fulfilling.

  1. If I live a life, making best decisions at every moments as well as believing my choice 100 percent, I would have flexibility and never be emotionally stirred in every situation. “A new beginning” helped me to see and realize the essence of relationships. It has shown me the way how to realize what real problems are and what causes these along with clear answers to solve it. I had time to think of events which made me difficult and the reasons of my present situations. It was a very helpful course.

  2. I feel I have started a new beginning. I had been living for over 30 years with ‘values’ but was never aware of it. I did not accept another’s value because I was bound to my values. I had a hard life giving importance to myself. A New Beginning is a very special course for me as well as for my family, especially, as I had deep connections with my son. With this course, OWA will help people to awaken and my mission is to help it.

  5. All along my childhood, I was haunted by a particular Emotional Disturbance of which I was unable to get out of. The ‘Self Inquiry’ session in A New Beginning helped me realize what was ruling me throughout. It enabled me to understand the emotional baggage I was holding on to which led to my suffering. With ANB I have come out of my Sufferings. Now I can claim that I am free of my FRAMEWORK.

  6. There was a sense of contentment after I attended the 2 day ANB course. I have now found a new meaning to every reaction of mine. Earlier, I always felt safe blaming others, including the situations, for anything and everything. Now, I am able to see clearly that I have tried to escape from taking responsibility.

Furthermore, I feel JUBILANT on seeing that the tool of ‘Awareness’ which I have learnt during the course bear fruit.

  10. After attending the New Beginning course for two days, I had started paying attention and analyzing the reason for my anger and started understanding the impact conditioning could affect one's way of thinking. The course has enabled me to analyze why I react in a particular way at a given point of times and overall has helped me to understand myself better.

  11. Yesterday, i was playing hide and seek with my little friend Lokaa, who is 6 years old. very innocently she latched the door of the room in which she was hiding. Lokaa went through a few moments of panic before her parents could guide her into opening the door. Later in the night she was snuggling next to me in the dark listening to the story of the Buddha and Angulimal, the bandit who murdered people and wore their thumbs as a necklace. We were discussing how the Buddha met Angulimal with out fear and that the very fearlessness and compassion of the Buddha itself transformed him.

There was a long pause on Lokka's end. Cutting through the darkness she asked me"do you think the Buddha would have been afraid if he had locked himself by mistake? What would he have done?"
My thoughts fell silent for a moment. I have heard many questions before, but not this and that from a child of 6!

For a few moments I had to picturise a six year old Buddha locked in the room and I knew what to tell her.

I told her that the Buddha too would have been afraid but then he would have brought his attention to his breath and slowed it down. This would have allowed strength to flow into his little arms so he could have unlatched the door.
Once the door was opened the Buddha would have sat quietly and observed what he felt when he had fear. This would make sure next time he would have less fear. this is meditation

The child heard me quietly and said "so, i too should meditate from now"

Dear friends just wanted to share this little bed time story.

  12. "was the Buddha a Buddhist?" asked my little friend Lokaa.
Well i dont think so. Nor do i think a christ was a christian nor Mohammad a moslem. why then are we so keen on labeling ourselves? why do we war with each other in the name of peace? why do we divide ourselves in the name of togetherness?
Can we not simply be humanbeings

  14. We had an opportunity for an evening of service at the yoyang elderly home, seoul last month. We had around 15 of our friends going with us. Speaking for myself, it was an eye opening experience. To become aware of the conditionings that control us and feel the freedom as we go forward to reach out and share with others. It is an experience that has to be felt.
Serving others in itself a wonderful experience. But if you can become aware of ‘what you are’ or ‘what thought and emotional process is happening in you?’ in those moments, will lead you to Growth right away. Then the experience of service itself undergoes a greater quality benefiting not only others but also fulfilling you.
I would like to share one another experience here. At the elderly home I was having a conversation with a 96-year-old ‘young’ man. Though slightly demented due to advanced age, I could sense the zest he had for life. He happily pointed out that he only had only “4 more years to go” to be a “centurion”. I could see the light of life shining in him. What a way to live life? Maybe we should ask ourselves, do I have that life in me?

  15. do this one world academy teaches their own teachings or copied from others to do good why u need money

  16. oneworldacademy has its own teachings, it also disseminates teachings that resonate with truth from all the spiritual traditions of the world, which we gratefully acknowledge.

with regards to why we charge for our programs- we are a family of more than 23 people, who are active. we travel throughout india and abroad (Air travel companies have not yet recognized our worth, so they would sponsor our air fare for us. well, i am sure it would happen soon. dont u think so:)))
we have to pay for our accomodation in many parts of the world which again costs money, we need to take care of our daily requirements, u know it costs!
my friend it also costs money to put up a program, to pay the staff who are dependent on us. or even to build a future campus of our own. Even to maintain a website it costs.
that is why we need money and there could even be more reasons.
we are grateful for all the love and support we receive from all our friends world over.
    love

  17. The program enabled me to see what was affecting my response to my father’s temperament. I let myself react to his emotional outbursts. ANB helped me see what led to my reactions. Now I have discovered that the solution was within me, thus liberating me from the irritation that I was undergoing.

  19. my humble prostrations. If an acceptance without any questions could be called "surrender", i very well can realize i dont have that, i love to relate to you with complete surrender as i have heard few years back during one of the discourses that surrender is the one of the key factors to enlightenment. i want enlightenment. happy to know about OWA.My love and best wishes.padapranams.

  20. Dear Shubhashreeji,
Surrender is not, not to question. It is simply to see the truth in oneself and to accept it. Accepting what someone else says by silencing the voice of your own sound reason is not an act of surrender and it does not in any way take you closer to a life of awareness.( I prefer to call it a life of awareness than enlightenment)

To be aware, needs a fearless mind, a mind that can enquire into itself and into all things. A mind that can without fear question. Such a mind alone is capable of intelligence. There fore dear shubhashreeji, don't ever in the name of surrender accept authority even if it is spiritual.
    love you

  22. Namasthe Samadharsiniji,
    Amma Bhagavan Saranam.
It is very hapy to conservate here after a long time.
    "What is 'igo'?
We are all the aspects of God.And so we have all the feelings of the Creator had.
And the Creator itself is the 'Igo',thinking all should Love him only and all should see 'Him only' in every aspect of His creation.I think that is the only authority He is showing on us,spiritually.

    What is 'good' or 'bad'?
Everything is originated from that Supreme Lord; And each thing is making us act towards the Divine. As if the river flows towards the Sea by taking all the turns due to the obstacles arising in its way."

Just like this I would like to share my insights with you.

    With lots of Love,
    V.Phani Praveen.

  23. Recently in Sydney we held 'Insight.'
At the end of the event one of the participants told me of the immense joy and gratitude that he was feeling for this process.

I would like to share his words with you:

"Last night we experienced Insight by One World Academy in Sydney. Simple but profound teachings. I laughed, I cried. Especially laughed! I relived my life in 3 hours. I realised that my story said it was difficult to reach God. Like the Footsteps story. No longer! I can reach God any time. He never leaves. It is me who has checked out on occasion. Armed with practical tools to use at home and teach others, I feel empowered, strengthened and enthused to enjoy my life even more. And attend the next event!"

~ Marc, 'Insight' Sydney, April 24th.
